                                                  Rock The Dye Out!

Hello again people  for our another DIY series :) i was really caught up by the ombre trend that are fast zooming the fashion market!, i can't blame them this shorts are to Die for! so casual and cute!
so are the stars they also taking to like this adorable shorts!
we all know this certain person she top the Billboard this year in a Speed of light with her "Call me Maybesounds familiar? She's Carly rae Jepsen a 26yr Canadian
yes she's wearing an Ombre shorts, i've saw it on H&M
and its pretty expensive so! i've do this re-creation in a creative but cheap DIY :)
" thumps -up for that!"

Material:
Old Jeans/ Turns to shorts
RIT Dyes
Bleach
Twissers or sand paper
small container
basin
table salt
hanger

How To:

Cut shorts/pants to desired length. Standard is about 2 inches from the inseam. Cut starting from the inseam outwards. Shorts should be shorter  towards the outside to form a sort of "panty-like" shape. This shape will instantly bring your denim up to date!

  • Eyeball your shorts and determine where you want the dip dye process to begin.
  • In a pail, fill with enough water to hit your shorts at the right mark and minus about an inch because the bleach water solution will run up when your shorts are saturated.
  • Add about 2 cups of bleach to the water (It is important to dilute the bleach in water. Dipping your shorts in full bleach may cause your shorts to rip into pieces when washed)
  • Attach shorts to a hanger like so.
  • Leave for 30mn
  • then you should have a result like this

Prepare the dye. I swear by RIT dye. The colors are beautiful and the product is cheap. You can’t go wrong! I chose Teal for the tank and Petal Pink for the shorts. I find the liquid bottles of dye easier to use because you don’t have to worry about getting powder everywhere and if you don’t use it all you can save it for later! Just follow the directions on the bottle/ package for sink dying- prepare in a large punch bowl or plastic bin

Run your garment under water so that is damp and place your article of clothing on a hanger and hang above the bowl of dye. Hang the garment so only the very bottom of the piece is actually submerged in the dye (use your own judgment here- if you want the dye to be very strong half way up the garment then place half of it in the bowl- but the dye will creep up and go higher than what is submerged).

Take the garment out of the dye and rinse in the sink until the water runs clear- make sure not to get any dye on the top part of the garment.

Wash then sun dry it... and WALA!!!!!!!!

Here's how i Did with mine ! :)and oh! I almost forgot again, have you seen the new music video
of the Owl City? It's in title " Good Time" and Carly is singing with him
